Too Close

I discovered something today in taking several closeup shots.  While my camera is capable of focusing on something so close it almost brushes the lens, when I get that close, the width of the lens cuts off the light needed to produce a good picture.

It reminded me of something I had heard before about perspective that sometimes we can be too close to something to see what needs to be done.  We need to take a step back in order to see the whole picture.
