My Portion

MY PORTION

Lord, I am weary
these days,
tired and stooped
and weighed down
with worry and fear.

But You, Lord
are the strength
of my heart.

You, Lord lift me up.

You, Lord slip off
the shackles,
carry away the chains,
free me from the prison
of despair and helplessness.

My flesh and my heart
may fail but You, Lord
are my strength.
You, Lord are my light.
You, Lord carry me through
the storm and raging waters.

You, Lord are my portion forever.
