Be Still and Know and Breathe

O, Lord,

that today
for a moment,
we could stop

and be still
and know
and breathe

in Your presence.

I pray today, Lord,
that the breath
of Your spirit
would fill us
to overflowing,

that we would be
the cup that overfloweth,

that Your light
would fill us—
Your everlasting light
would shine upon us

and end these days
of mourning
and turn our tears, our cries
into dancing.
