I've seen snow in Florida, light flurries framed by street lights in the early morning and at night.
And I've sat in my car with the defroster on high because I didn't own a windshield scraper.
I've seen sprinklers left on overnight during a freeze and a rainbow of ice erupting from the ground in the morning.
It is nothing compared to what I grew up with up north.
But we take what we can get.
Even if they are moments that are short lived.
I heard this bird calling this morning and heard another answering, back and forth. With feathers like that, he must be young.
With feathers like that, it's like a snowball sprouted wings.
I named him immediately and with a smile.
Snowy.
