Waiting

I caught a peek this morning of Isabeau in her nest, just an eye through the twigs, but I'm glad she's still there and those eggs should be hatching any time now.

Every day I walk to the pine with Isabeau's nest and I take a picture, not knowing what the picture might show.

But I don't want to miss the babies.

I'm also watching this tree, waiting for it to flower. It was one of the first pictures I took back when I started this project in August. It keeps looking like it's on the verge of blooming.

During the winter, I thought Florida was still full of life, but now that spring and summer are here, I realize how quiet the winter months were and I'm almost overwhelmed by the new things I seem to see every day.
